Window World of Joliet 2019 STEM Grant Application
At Window World, we believe in the power of community. Locally-owned, Window World delivers energy-efficient windows, siding, and doors, and we want to promote science and innovation to further develop energy-saving technologies.
To support the efforts, Window World of Joliet will be awarding ten (10) $1,000 grants to various teachers across Cook, Grundy, Kankakee, Lake, LaSalle and Will counties in order to support and promote the advancement of science, math, engineering, and technology. Please provide the information below to be considered for the grant.
The application must be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Winners will be notified by September 30, 2019.
The winners will be randomly selected by Window World of Joliet.

Zoe Lindstrom, 5th-grade teacher at Forest Park Individual Ed School (Joliet Public Schools District 86)! Funds will be used to purchase a wide variety of science materials to create more engaging learning experiences.
Sara Boehnke, science teacher at Indian Trail Middle School (Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202). Ms. Boehnke is one of nine winners of the Window World of Joliet STEM Grant for 2018. Funds will be used to purchase technology programs that benefit over 400 students.
Cindy Bulthuis, 5th-grade teacher at Woodgate Elementary School (Matteson, Illinois School District 159)! Ms. Bulthuis is one of nine winners of the 2018 Window World of Joliet STEM grant. Funds will be purchase materials that support hands-on learning activities designed by Teach Engineering.
Amy Lingafelter, librarian at Joliet West High School (Joliet Township High School District 204)! Ms. Lingafelter is one of nine winners of the 2018 Window World of Joliet STEM grant. Funds will be used to purchase materials necessary to make “Ride, Read, & Charge” stations that will allow students to charge their laptops and other devices by pedaling.
Katie Beckett, speech pathologist at Lynne Thigpen School (Joliet Public Schools District 86)! Ms. Beckett is one of nine winners of the 2018 Window World of Joliet STEM grant. Funds will be used to introduce science experiences to students with significant disabilities.
Jeffrey Brown, CAD, Architecture, Engineering Design & 3D Design-Animation Teacher at Lockport Township High School! Mr. Brown is one of nine winners of the 2018 Window World of Joliet STEM grant. Funds will be used to purchase tools and materials required for students to learn how to fabricate mechanisms with new materials for their competitive robots.
Renee Bogacz, instructional technology resource teacher at Three Rivers School! Ms. Bogacz is one of nine winners of the 2018 Window Window World of Joliet STEM grant. Funds will be used to incorporate an online gaming platform (Bloxels) into the curriculum in their science classes, maker spaces, and computer classes.
Congratulations to Jackie Fiske, Technology Integration Coach at St. Mary Immaculate Parish School! Ms. Fiske is one of nine winners of the 2018 Window World of Joliet STEM grant. Funds will be used to fully stock the STEM lab at the school.
Cyndi Grasso from Grand Prairie Elementary School in Frankfort! The grant will be used to create terrariums with prairie plants and perennials at Grand Prairie and Chelsea Schools.
Barbara Will Henn at Troy Middle School! She plans to use the grant to purchase an 8’x12′ greenhouse that will be erected on school property this fall.
